Service Description
Post natal yoga is a great way to gently ease yourself back into exercising as a new mother. Movement and postures are specialised to cater to the post-natal body to help with post birth recovery, strengthening pelvic floor muscles, helping to ease aches and pains in the body and teaching breath work to help find calm in the mind. These classes will focus on movement for the mum whilst your crawler/moving baby has space to play with an array of toys to keep them occupied all whilst under your watchful eye. There will also be times when baby can join you for your yoga and do some yoga movements with fun and interactive songs. Helping you both to spend time together playing, moving, breathing and relaxing together in a safe supportive environment. At the end of the class there is homemade cake and time for a chat with the other parents helping you to build your support network. At the class you will find a supportive teacher who will demonstrate different levels of movement depending on your physical abilities, recovery and goals. You will be greeted with a warm smile by a mother as well as a teacher. This class is suitable from when your baby starts to really get on the move all the way to when they take their first steps. If you have been to the Baby and Me Yoga classes, this is a wonderful way to carry on with your postnatal exercises whilst your baby gets the freedom to explore.
