Pregnancy Yoga

A pregnancy Yoga class gives a pregnant person the opportunity to practice Yoga with Asanas (postures) specifically tailored to the needs of their growing body and adapted throughout the trimesters to ensure safe and effective practice. Attending in an person class gives mothers to be a safe space to rest, relax and reconnect with their baby. Pregnancy Yoga classes are suitable from 12 weeks and for as long as you feel comfortable throughout your pregnancy.

What to expect from a Breathe Pregnancy Yoga Class

At Breathe our aim is to make Yoga accessible to everyBODY and help support you through your goals. Pregnancy Yoga classes are suitable from 12 weeks and for as long as you feel comfortable throughout your pregnancy.

Whether you are new to Yoga or are a regular yogi a pregnancy yoga class will provide you with a focused practice to help you support and strengthen your body through pregnancy and help you prepare both physically and mentally for labour.

 

As you progress through the weeks and trimesters the practice will be adapted to ensure safe practice. Classes with be a mix of Asanas (postures), Pranayama (breathwork) and meditation. Underpinning all of that is a safe and supportive environment and a friendly teacher who will guide you through your practice as you explore your changing body and connect with your growing baby.

What to bring to a Pregnancy Yoga class

  • A mat

  • Water

  • Blanket (optional)

  • Pillow (optional)

 

Some weeks you may be requested to bring a pillow or exercise ball. You will be notified in advance if this is required for class.
